Promoting Videos on Social Media

Now that camp is almost over, it is time to take a look at all of your digital assets from the summer. One of the most important assets to look at is your camp videos. Whether you had a professional videographer or not, you will want to take an inventory of the videos you have.

Once you have the inventory taken care of, upload all of your relevant videos to YouTube or Vimeo (whichever your camp uses). Once they are uploaded, make sure you include tags, descriptions and SEO-favored titles for each video. Now, it is time to pick your favorite videos and promote them. Here are a few ways you can do this:

1. Post them to social media- The best way to promote your videos is to share them with your audience on social media! Post the links to your videos on Facebook + Twitter and upload snippets of the videos to Instagram.

2. Turn them into an ad- Consider using your video in Facebook or YouTube ads. Especially if you have a great 30 second video, using it in an ad can be a great way to build awareness and drive traffic to your website.

3. Add them to your website- Always add your best videos to your website so new parents can find and view them. Consider separating them out by camper and parent videos to attract the most views from your audience.
